Silica sand making line:

The common specifications of silica sand are as follows: 0.5-1.0mm 0.6-1.2mm 1-2mm 2-4mm 4-8mm 8-16mm 16-32mm. In glass industry, the size of the sand grains should be between 40 to 80 mesh. The whole silica sandmaking production line consists of vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, VSI5X vertical shaftimpact crusher (sand-making machine), vibrating screen, sand-washing machine, belt conveyor, electric control system, etc.

Process of the silica sand making line:

The silica sand is transferred to jaw crusher for primary crushing by vibrating feeder, then the crushed materials are transferred to sand-making machine through belt conveyor for secondary crushing. The crushed materials will be transferred to the vibrating screen. The materials with suitable size will be transferred to sand washing machine, after being washed, then clean final products will be discharged. The others with unsuitable size will be screened from vibrating screen, then will be transferred to the sand-making machine, this forms a closed circuit manifold cycles.

Silica sand

Substantial silica-sand resources are found throughout Malaysia comprising largely of natural sand deposits and ex-tin mine tailings. The DMG has estimated that the country has some 148.4 million tonnes of silica-sand reserves located in the states of Johor, Perak, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak. Most of the silica are used in the manufacturing of glass products and to a lesser extent in the production of ceramics, foundries, glasswool and water treatment materials.
